DU PG Admissions: Round 2 Allocations Released
Delhi University has released the second round of allocations for postgraduate programmes, with 2,964 new seats offered. This follows the first round where 8,150 candidates confirmed their admissions, indicating strong participation in the admission process.
According to the University of Delhi, the Round 2 allocation results are now available on the PG admission portal. The minimum allocation scores have also been published on the official website for candidates’ reference.
Candidate Preferences: Freeze, Upgrade, and No Action
Among the candidates who received allocations in Round 2, 3,399 chose to freeze their allotted seats, indicating satisfaction with their current allocation. Meanwhile, 2,448 opted for an upgrade in the hope of securing a higher-preference programme. Another 2,303 candidates neither selected the freeze nor upgrade option, leaving their status pending.
“A total of 2,964 new allocations have been made in Round 2, while 8,150 candidates from Round 1 have already confirmed their admissions,” the university said.
Integrated Law Programme Advances to Round 3
Admissions under the Five Year Integrated Law Programme have moved to Round 3, with 104 candidates confirming their admissions so far. The university has made the Round 3 allocations live and published the latest cut-off scores on its website.
“Round 3 allocations for the Five Year Integrated Law Programme have been made live, and the latest cut-off scores have been published on the website,” the university stated.
Next Steps for Candidates
Candidates have been advised to regularly check the admission portal and official website for updates on subsequent rounds, seat acceptance deadlines, and cut-off information. The university continues to process admissions in a phased manner to accommodate as many applicants as possible.
