A crucial review meeting was convened on Friday at the Buxar Collectorate to evaluate the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) supply scenario across the district. The session was chaired by District Magistrate Sahila, who emphasized the importance of ensuring smooth and equitable distribution of cylinders to all residents.
Strict Measures Against Black-Marketing
During the meeting, District Magistrate Sahila issued stringent directives to identify and take decisive action against individuals involved in the black-marketing of LPG cylinders. This move aims to curb illegal practices and guarantee that cylinders reach consumers at regulated prices without any undue delays or exploitation.
Distribution and Stock Details
Between March 13 and March 19, 2026, a total of 35,971 LPG cylinders were successfully distributed throughout Buxar district. As of March 19, gas agencies maintained a stock of 4,039 cylinders, ensuring a buffer supply to meet ongoing demand. Senior officials are conducting regular physical inspections of large commercial establishments to monitor compliance and address any potential issues proactively.

Consumers facing any problems related to LPG supply are encouraged to lodge complaints with the district control room, which operates round the clock. Till March 19, the control room had received 126 complaints, of which 81 have been resolved satisfactorily. The remaining complaints are currently under process, with authorities working diligently to address them in a timely manner.
