Kasaragod Achieves 100% Digitization of Voter Forms, Leads Kerala
Kasaragod leads Kerala in 100% voter form digitization

Kasaragod district in Kerala has achieved a significant milestone in electoral preparedness by becoming the first in the state to fully digitize all enumeration forms collected under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. District Collector K Inbasekhar announced this achievement, highlighting the district's commitment to a smooth and efficient voter list revision.

Kasaragod Tops State in Digitization Drive

Speaking at a press conference, Collector Inbasekhar revealed the impressive numbers behind this feat. The district has successfully digitized a total of 10,11,391 enumeration forms out of the district's total 10,78,686 registered voters. This 100% digitization rate has propelled Kasaragod to the top position in Kerala for this critical administrative process.

This digitization effort means that a vast majority of voters will find their names in the newly prepared draft electoral roll. 93.8% of the electorate is already accounted for in the draft list, according to the collector's statement.

Deadlines and Next Steps for Voter Inclusion

For the remaining voters or those who find discrepancies, the administration has provided clear deadlines. Citizens whose names are missing from the draft list can still submit their enumeration forms. The last date for submission is December 18.

Collector Inbasekhar acknowledged that about 6.2% of enumeration forms are yet to be collected physically. To expedite this final leg of the process, the district administration has scheduled crucial meetings with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs). These meetings are set for December 9 and December 15.

Roadmap to the Final Voters' List

The publication of the draft list is followed by a window for public scrutiny and claims. Citizens can file complaints or raise objections regarding the draft voters' list until January 22. After addressing all claims and objections, the final, authoritative voters' list for Kasaragod district will be officially published on February 21.

This systematic and tech-driven approach by the Kasaragod district administration, led by Collector K Inbasekhar, sets a benchmark for electoral roll management in the state, ensuring greater transparency and inclusivity in the democratic process.
