The Russian Embassy in New Delhi organized a distinguished reception for the diplomatic community to commemorate Russian Armed Forces Day, observed annually on February 23 and also known as Defender of the Fatherland Day. The event was a vibrant celebration of cultural and military ties, blending Russian and Indian traditions in a festive atmosphere.
Ambassador Alipov Highlights Decades of Trust in Indo-Russian Partnership
In his welcoming address, Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov, accompanied by his wife Diana Alipova, emphasized the robust and enduring military and defense cooperation between Russia and India. He stated, "We are proud of our strong and long-standing military and defence cooperation with India. Decades of partnership stand as an unparalleled example of trust and mutual benefit. Our cooperation is built on deep technology transfer, joint production and the localisation of manufacturing. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated repeatedly, both in the past and in recent times." Ambassador Alipov concluded his speech with three enthusiastic hurrahs for the armed forces, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
