Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the G7 Outreach Session in Evian, France, to stress the importance of trust in international partnerships, with US President Donald Trump seated beside him during the meeting.
Modi's Key Message
Modi said that while the world does not suffer from a shortage of resources, it faces a shortage of trust, and argued that the future of global partnerships depends on rebuilding that trust. He said India views the world as one family and highlighted initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance, Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, Global Biofuels Alliance, Mission LiFE and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.
Call for Equal Partnerships
Modi also called for moving beyond the donor-recipient model, saying the Global South seeks equal partnerships based on dignity, solidarity and shared growth rather than dependency.
