Senior Congress leader V D Satheesan has called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's immediate intervention following reports that two individuals from Kerala lost their lives and another went missing in devastating flash floods in Oman. The incident occurred on Saturday in the Al Batinah Governorate of Oman, where a vehicle carrying the victims was swept away by sudden and severe flooding.

The deceased have been identified as Yusuf and Shamla, both natives of Trithala in Kerala. Another woman, Ramla, also from the same area, remains missing as search and rescue operations continue amidst ongoing heavy rains and heightened flood risks in the region. In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Satheesan expressed deep concern over the tragedy, highlighting the urgent need for coordinated efforts to address the situation.
