The India-EU summit, scheduled for January 27, is expected to yield significant announcements. Both sides are anticipated to declare the successful conclusion of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) talks. Additionally, the signing of a defence and security partnership and another agreement to promote mobility are on the agenda.

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Antonio Costa, President of the European Council, will arrive in India on January 25 for the summit. Their visit underscores the importance of the event, and they will also attend the Republic Day parade as chief guests, further symbolizing the strengthening ties.
