During his visit, the Army Commander personally observed the extensive Defence of Gujarat Exercise, a major military drill designed to evaluate operational capabilities under demanding conditions. The exercise rigorously tested rapid response mechanisms, inter-agency coordination, and the ability to operate effectively in challenging terrain, demonstrating the armed forces' commitment to maintaining peak readiness.
Mega Surgical Eye Camp Brings Vision to Remote Communities
At Bhuj Military Station, Lt Gen Seth inaugurated a significant surgical eye camp organized with support from specialist ophthalmic teams from the Army Hospital (Research & Referral) in New Delhi. This humanitarian initiative achieved remarkable results, screening over 2,500 patients from 120 remote and underserved villages across the region. The camp successfully restored vision to more than 200 beneficiaries, providing life-changing medical care to those with limited access to healthcare facilities.

In Ahmedabad, Lt Gen Seth, accompanied by Komal Seth, Regional President of the Southern Command Army Women Welfare Association, held a special interaction with Veer Naris (widows of fallen soldiers) and Veer Matas (mothers of martyrs).
