CM Yogi Adityanath to Attend Grand Vikramaditya Epic Drama in Varanasi
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, will witness the grand theatrical production 'Mahanatya Samrat Vikramaditya' at the commencement of a three-day cultural festival at the BLW ground in Varanasi on April 3.
Promoting Cultural Heritage and Good Governance
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that the epic drama aims to make people aware of the Ujjain emperor Vikramaditya's exemplary good governance and his profound love for justice. The production is organized by the Samrat Vikramaditya Shodh Sansthan and features hundreds of artists participating in a high-tech cultural show that includes drama, music, and dance.
The Madhya Pradesh government is organizing this event in various parts of the country to promote India's rich cultural heritage. The show will comprise live presentations of ancient art forms, featuring live elephants, horses, and camels to enhance the immersive experience.
Portraying a Legendary Era
'Mahanatya Samrat Vikramaditya' is a grand theatrical production that portrays the valour, justice, and golden era of the legendary 1st-century BCE Ujjain emperor. Emperor Vikramaditya is often linked with initiating the Vikram Samvat era after defeating the Shakas, marking a significant period in Indian history.
This epic drama not only highlights historical narratives but also serves as an educational tool to inspire contemporary governance models based on ancient wisdom.
