Swami Vivekananda's Vision Drives India's Global Rise, Says Hindu Leader at Mangaluru Event

Srikanth Shetty, the Chief of Hindu Jagarana Vedike in Karnataka's South province, delivered an inspiring speech at a Viveka Jayanti programme in Mangaluru. He emphasized how Swami Vivekananda's teachings continue to shape India's identity and inspire the younger generation.

Vivekananda's Enduring Impact on Society and Culture

Speaking as the chief guest, Shetty noted that Swami Vivekananda reformed society by grounding it in religious principles. He spread Indian religion and culture worldwide, earning recognition as the soul of India. Today's youth are evolving in line with his dream, Shetty observed.

India is achieving fame across all fields, Shetty declared. He pointed out that the country introduced the principle of victory over death to the world, a legacy that remains unshakable. The Somnath Temple stands as a living testament to India's immortal story, he added.

Historical Inspiration and National Vitality

Shetty highlighted the sacrifices of revolutionary heroes like Khudiram Bose, Pritilata Waddedar, and Bipin Chandra Pal before independence. Swami Vivekananda served as an inspiration for all these freedom fighters, he said. Vivekananda's literature continues to motivate Indians today.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh recently completed 100 years, and the song Vande Mataram has resonated for 150 years. Shetty described these milestones as clear evidence of India's enduring vitality and spirit.

Spiritual Conquest Without Violence

Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, president of Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha in Puttur, presided over the event. He remarked that many leaders tried to conquer the world, but Swami Vivekananda achieved this feat without shedding any blood.

Instead of using violence, Vivekananda conquered minds and hearts through spiritual wisdom, Bhat explained. With a deep sense of patriotism, he carried India's spiritual message to every corner of the globe. Vivekananda inspires everyone to awaken their inner self, Bhat concluded.

Cultural Programme Highlights RSS Development

The event featured a cultural programme centered on the theme 'Centenary Vision of the RSS'. It showcased the developmental journey of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh through different eras. The programme illustrated how the organization has evolved over time.

The Viveka Jayanti event took place on Monday at the Vivekananda College campus in Nehru Nagar. Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha in Puttur organized the programme, drawing attention to Vivekananda's lasting influence.
