Patna RPO Marks Hindi Day with Event, Opens Childcare Facility

The Regional Passport Office in Patna came alive with cultural fervor on Monday. Officials organized a vibrant programme titled "Suno-Sunao" to mark the dual celebrations of World Hindi Day and World Youth Day.

A Day of Cultural Celebration

Regional Passport Officer Swadha Rizvi spearheaded the event under her guidance. Anurag Joshi, the Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The programme showcased a rich tapestry of Hindi literature and youthful energy.

Performances and Participation

Children from Kilkari and Bal Bhavan joined the festivities. Theatre group Prerna also contributed to the cultural mosaic. Youngsters from the families of passport office officials participated actively. Recitations from Premchand's classic "Idgah" filled the air. Excerpts from Ramdhari Singh Dinkar's epic "Rashmi Rathi" resonated through the venue.

The event featured engaging activities like Antakshari and riddles. These interactive sessions added a playful dimension to the celebrations. Regional Passport Officer Rizvi addressed the gathering. She urged officers and staff to embrace Hindi more extensively in their official duties.

Inauguration of Vatsalya Childcare Room

A highlight of the day was the inauguration of a newly constructed childcare facility. Named "Vatsalya," this room promises comfort for young visitors. Rizvi expressed heartfelt gratitude to Anurag Joshi and SBI for their support in building this space.

She emphasized that Vatsalya would serve a dual purpose. It will benefit officers' families during work hours. The facility will also assist applicants who visit the office with their children. This thoughtful addition aims to make passport services more family-friendly.

Gifts for Young Participants

As the programme concluded, all participating children received special gifts. Each child was presented with a copy of "Exam Warriors." This motivational book is authored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The distribution added an inspirational note to the day's events.

The Regional Passport Office in Patna successfully blended cultural promotion with practical welfare. The "Suno-Sunao" programme highlighted the beauty of Hindi language and literature. Simultaneously, the inauguration of Vatsalya demonstrated a commitment to supporting families. This initiative sets a positive example for other government offices to follow.
