Stripped of all conventional theatrical elements and staged within an actual residential space, the production of 'Sonata' unfolded mere inches from the audience, offering Nagpur a rare, close-quarters theatre experience that prioritized raw immediacy and presence over traditional spectacle.

With only about a dozen spectators seated directly among the performers, and absolutely no microphones, stage lighting, or elevated platforms, this innovative performance completely dissolved the traditional fourth wall. Audience members felt less like passive viewers and more like silent witnesses—almost flies on the wall—to a profoundly intense and revealing conversation. The absence of technical amplification meant even the simplest actions, such as water being poured into a glass, could be heard with crystal clarity, enhancing the sense of intimate reality.
