Meghalaya Chief Minister Praises Traditional Youth Organizations
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma spoke about the critical role of traditional tribal youth organizations on Monday. He made these remarks while inaugurating a new Khasi cultural mural in Shillong.
Youth Organizations Carry Community Heritage Forward

The inauguration ceremony took place at Rymbai Fuel Station in Mawlai Mawiong Rim. Sangma congratulated the Seng Samla youth organization of Mawlai Pyllun during the event. This group celebrated twenty years of service to the Mawlai community.
Mural Celebrates Khasi Cultural Essence
The Chief Minister expressed genuine happiness about the newly unveiled mural. He stated that it beautifully captures the rich heritage of the Khasi community. The artwork celebrates traditional values and cultural essence.

Concluding his address, Sangma highlighted the mural's additional function. Beyond celebrating Khasi culture, it will provide visual appeal for tourists. The artwork offers a lively welcome to visitors entering Shillong.
During the occasion, local organizations presented memoranda to the Chief Minister. The Dorbar Shnong and Seng Samla groups raised concerns about Mawlai area needs. These traditional grassroots organizations highlighted specific community requirements.
