Meanwhile, the Malayali community in Bokaro marked the festival with vibrant cultural traditions. Thousands of devotees converged on the Sree Ayyappa Temple in Sector 5. They participated in the annual Makaravilakku celebrations, displaying deep faith and community spirit.

In Garhwa district, thousands of tourists and picnickers thronged the Sukhaldari waterfall. They celebrated Makar Sankranti at this popular natural spot. The district administration put up elaborate security arrangements for everyone's safety.

Janardan Raut, the officer in-charge of Dhurki police station, provided details. He said a sufficient number of police forces deployed at the mega fair organized in the area. Personnel also stationed near the Sukhaldari waterfall managed the crowd efficiently. These efforts prevented any untoward incidents during the festivities.
