Amidst the city's immersion in devotional chants and vibrant processions, the social organization Tarang Group has launched a powerful campaign advocating for a "nasha-mukt Ram Navami." Since March 19, the group has been actively staging street plays across various neighborhoods, attracting large crowds and delivering compelling messages on sobriety, public decorum, and communal harmony.
Through impactful performances and resonant slogans, the artists urge festival revellers to uphold the sanctity of the occasion. A recurring refrain in their act—"Dekho ae deewano, tum ye kaam na karo, Ram ka naam badnaam na karo"—serves as a poignant appeal for people to abstain from intoxicants and maintain the dignity associated with Ram Navami.
