Bom Jesus Basilica in Goa Announces Closure for Holy Week Triduum

The iconic Bom Jesus Basilica, located in Old Goa, will be temporarily closed to all visitors starting from the morning of April 2 until 11 am on April 5. This closure is due to the sacred liturgical services scheduled during the Holy Week Triduum, a period of intense religious observance leading up to Easter Sunday.

Liturgical Services Conducted in English

According to Fr Patricio Fernandes, the rector of the basilica, all liturgical services throughout the Triduum will be conducted exclusively in English. This decision aims to accommodate the diverse congregation and ensure clarity and participation in the solemn ceremonies.
