In the coastal state of Goa, the annual Ram Navami festival is set to be celebrated with a rich array of cultural performances and deep-rooted religious observances. At the Gokarna Jeevottam Math in Partgal, Poinguinim, large gatherings of devotees converge to participate in sacred ceremonies. Meanwhile, in Piligao's Gimone, a historic Ram temple that has stood for over 400 years continues to attract numerous devotees and pilgrims, serving as a focal point for prayer and community.
One of the most captivating spectacles takes place in Mayem, where a devotee enters a trance state and performs a ritual dance while holding a multi-wick earthen lamp, known as a male. This mesmerizing act draws substantial crowds, adding a dynamic element to the festival's spiritual atmosphere.

Across Goa, temples stage Dashavatari dramas, elaborate theatrical productions that depict the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu, with a focus on Lord Ram's narrative.
