The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Trichy chapter, has officially begun its journey towards the grand 'Trichy Thiruvizha 2026' with a heartwarming and inclusive gesture. The launch preparations were initiated on Thursday with a special 3D movie screening organized exclusively for children with disabilities at a local multiplex.
A Celebration for Everyone Begins
The event's logo was formally unveiled by Balu Kanagasabapathy, the Deputy Commissioner of Trichy Corporation. In his address, he emphasized the profound significance of creating inclusive spaces, drawing from personal understanding. "Only families with special children can truly understand the value of such inclusive events," he stated, highlighting the emotional and social impact of the initiative.

According to Ajay Jayaraj, Chairman of CII Trichy, the special screening was a resounding success. More than 230 children, along with their caretakers, not only enjoyed the 3D cinematic experience but were also treated to lunch, making it a complete and joyful outing. This event sets a compassionate tone for the larger festival to come.
The main extravaganza, the second edition of Trichy Thiruvizha, is scheduled to be a two-day pan-city celebration. It will be held at the Thennur Uzhavar Sandhai ground on January 10 and 11, 2026. The organizers have planned a vibrant mix of activities to engage the entire community.
