Mandya Prepares for State-Level Children's Kannada Literature Conference
The state-level Children's Kannada Literature Conference will take place at Adichunchanagiri Mutt in Nagamangala taluk of Mandya district on January 16. Organizers are making thorough preparations to ensure the literary event succeeds in its goal of nurturing creativity and fostering a love for literature among children.
Preparations and Leadership
D Manjunath, president of the Shivamogga District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and the District Kannada Literary and Cultural Forum, recently visited the mutt to oversee arrangements. Following his visit, a meeting was convened under the leadership of the mutt's secretary, Prasannanatha Swami.
BP Shrikanth, a student from Jnanadeepa School in Javalli of Shivamogga district, has been selected as the president of the conference. The inaugural ceremony will be conducted by Anusha Karibasavaiah Hiremath, a student of Kittur Rani Chennamma Residential School in Shiggaon. Former conference president Apeksha KM will also attend the event.
Special Guests and Session Coordinators
Eminent personalities will grace the occasion as special guests. Litterateur Boralingaiah, who serves as the president of the Karnataka Janapada Parishat, and Davanagere DIG Ravikanthegowda are among the notable figures expected to participate.
The conference will feature several literary sessions with dedicated coordinators. Srijana N from Bengaluru will preside over the poetry session. Manvi M from Gurupura in Shivamogga district will lead the storytelling session. Nadashree R Bhatt from Mysuru will oversee the essay and seminar session.
Muddu Thirthahalli, Shravya Sagar, and Bhavana R Gowda have been appointed as coordinators for the poetry, storytelling, and essay sessions, respectively.
Inaugural Programme Highlights
Conference convener D Manjunath informed reporters about the participation of child prodigies in the inaugural programme. Prithu P Advait, Ghaman Murthy TJ, and Akshara S Shetty Sannakere are set to showcase their talents during the event.
The conference promises to be a vibrant platform for young literary enthusiasts. It aims to inspire children across Karnataka to engage with Kannada literature and develop their creative skills.
