24 Lakh Register for Vaikunta Dwara Darshan Tokens

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has concluded the online registration process for the highly sought-after Vaikunta Dwara Darshan, witnessing an unprecedented surge of devotion. The digital portal, which was active for a five-day window from November 27 to December 1, received an overwhelming response, compelling authorities to close the e-dip registrations.

Record-Breaking Digital Devotion

A staggering 24,05,237 devotees registered their names through a total of 9.6 lakh applications for a chance to secure one of the nearly 1.8 lakh available darshan tokens. The distribution of these precious tokens for the key dates of December 30 (Vaikuntha Ekadashi), December 31 (Dwadashi), and January 1, 2026, will now be managed through the online e-dip system's computerized allotment process.

The breakdown of registrations highlights the digital preferences of devotees. The TTD mobile application emerged as the most popular platform, accounting for a massive 13.4 lakh registrations. The official TTD website recorded another 9.3 lakh registrations, while the Andhra Pradesh government's WhatsApp service facilitated registrations for 1.5 lakh devotees.

Plans for Sarva Darshan and Local Devotees

Following the special Vaikunta Dwara days, Sarva Darshan will resume as usual from January 2 to 8. For these seven days, the TTD has announced an online release of 15,000 special entry darshan tickets (Rs. 300) and 1,000 Srivani tickets per day. This online booking will open on December 5.

In a considerate move for residents, a special quota has been reserved for local devotees for the final three days of this period. A dedicated allocation of 5,000 tokens per day for January 6, 7, and 8 will be released specifically for locals on December 10.

TTD officials have assured the public that extensive arrangements are being implemented to ensure a smooth and hassle-free darshan experience during the Vaikuntha Dwara period. These measures are being executed under the direct supervision of TTD chairman BR Naidu, who has instructed the administration to prioritize devotee convenience.

TTD Chairman Upholds Spiritual Tradition in Srirangam

In a related spiritual event, TTD chairman BR Naidu visited the famous Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple in Srirangam, Tamil Nadu, on Monday. He was traditionally welcomed by the temple's joint commissioner, P Sivaraman, and chief priest Sri Sundarabhattar.

Marking the occasion of Kaisika Ekadashi, the chairman participated in a ceremonial procession, carrying silk vastrams (sacred robes) on his head before offering them to the deity. This practice is a long-standing tradition since 2006, where the TTD offers silk robes to ancient Sri Vaishnavism temples like Srirangam to maintain and honor deep spiritual connections. Following the darshan, the temple authorities presented Theertha Prasadams to the chairman.

The program was attended by TTD board member Naresh Kumar, several officials, and numerous devotees, reinforcing the enduring spiritual bond between these major Hindu pilgrimage centers.
