Ayesha Curry Opens Up About Her Motivation
In a heartfelt interview with Forbes, Ayesha Curry shared what inspired her to start Sweet July. She stated, "Originally, my why was based on my own need. I have had and have terrible cystic acne, and during the thick of it, I couldn't find anything to really help me with that battle. I was trying everything you could think of."
The popular chef added, "When you're not feeling good in your own skin, you're just not good all around. It can cause depression, just not feeling your best self. And so I was tired of feeling that way."
Ayesha continued, "At the same time, coming from this Jamaican heritage and remembering all the things that my Grandma and my Mom told me growing up about the things that they would use on the island for their skin topically, I was like, 'Maybe I should have listened. Maybe there's something to this.'"
Ayesha has also been public about how four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry often motivated her to start her own venture, despite their wealth and fame.
