Numerous residents have reported identical symptoms including severe vomiting, persistent diarrhoea, intense stomach pain, debilitating nausea, and high fever. Medical professionals confirm that children and elderly citizens are among the worst affected demographic groups, with their vulnerability making them particularly susceptible to the contaminated water's effects.
Local residents claim the contamination crisis has impacted nearly every household in the area, forcing families to completely abandon their regular water sources. Many have been compelled to depend entirely on water tankers or purchase expensive packaged drinking water for their daily survival needs.
Residents Share Their Harrowing Experiences
Pooran Mal Kumawat, a distressed resident, revealed that his entire family has been unwell for several consecutive days. "We have all been suffering from severe diarrhoea and extreme weakness. My wife's condition deteriorated so much that she required medical injections to recover," he explained with visible concern.
Janki Saini, another local resident, described the increasingly difficult situation her family faces. "All three of my children are currently suffering from intense stomach pain and high fever. We are now forced to arrange all our water from external sources, which creates additional daily challenges," she stated.
Jagdish Sahu highlighted the substantial financial burden created by the contamination crisis. "Both my mother and I have fallen ill, and I had to take my son for emergency medical treatment. We are purchasing water daily, which significantly adds to our household expenses during this difficult period," he reported, noting he has already spent thousands of rupees on medical treatments.

Residents identified the primary cause as recent road construction work that allegedly damaged crucial underground pipelines. This damage reportedly allowed sewage to mix directly with the drinking water supply. Dr. Anil Mehta, in charge of a nearby government dispensary, confirmed that medical facilities are experiencing unprecedented patient loads. "More than 150 patients with identical symptoms have received treatment at our facility in just the past three days alone," he disclosed. Former Congress MLA Pratap Singh Khachariyawas leveled serious allegations of negligence against the responsible authorities. He specifically questioned the decision-making process behind undertaking the road construction work. "If the road was already in good condition, why was it unnecessarily dug up? The damage to sewer and water lines resulting from such work has directly caused this public health crisis," he asserted, warning of intensified protests if authorities fail to resolve the issue promptly.
