Doctors noted that the hospital handled a variety of festival-related complaints, including three cases of eye infection. The medical staff emphasized that such issues are typical during and immediately after the festival, prompting additional teams to remain on standby to manage the increased patient load.
Injury Cases and Legal Documentation
The hospital's medico-legal case (MLC) register recorded 23 injury cases during this period. Of these, 14 were categorized as physical assault, while the remaining three were listed as non-MLC cases. Doctors explained that injuries are marked as MLC cases when they are suspected to be linked to fights, violence, or other incidents requiring legal documentation and police intimation. In addition to the direct festival-related cases, four patients involved in road accidents were referred to Safdarjung Hospital for specialized care.
