Fortis Hospital Mohali continued its unwavering support for cancer patients by organizing a cancer survivors' meet under the theme 'Celebration of Life' through its cancer support group, Saarthak. The event aimed to honour and celebrate the resilience of cancer survivors and their families.

Event Highlights

Approximately 50 cancer survivors and their family members attended the gathering, sharing their personal journeys of overcoming the disease and offering messages of hope to those currently undergoing treatment. The programme commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony, which was attended by oncologists and cancer survivors alike.

Workshops and Expert Sessions

Several workshops were conducted focusing on mental well-being, stress management, and nutrition. Counselling Psychologist Anchal Sharma encouraged survivors to maintain a positive outlook throughout their recovery. Dr Sonia Gandhi, Head of Dietetics and Nutrition, emphasized the critical role of a balanced diet during and after cancer treatment.
