Interestingly, this fictional scene mirrors a sweet real-life memory for actress Amandeep Sidhu. She recently recalled a charming childhood incident from her time living in Delhi.
"I was in eighth or ninth standard," Amandeep shared. "There was a boy who lived near my lane. It was that typical 'galli mohalle wala pyaar'. We never really spoke to each other, not even a simple hello. We would just see each other from our windows at a fixed time every day."
The Makar Sankranti festival became the backdrop for a shy proposal. "During one of the kite-flying days, he wrote his phone number on one of his kites," she revealed. "I remember the moment clearly. And I remember calling him afterward. It's such an adorable memory for me."
Challenges Behind the Festive Fun
Shooting the Makar Sankranti scenes for the show was not all fun and games. Amandeep described the experience as extremely challenging, despite the joyful outcome on screen.
"Shooting the Makar Sankranti scene was tough for us," the actress explained. "We had to work in very cold weather, with temperatures around three to four degrees Celsius. The call time was early, around 7 to 8 in the morning, because we were filming a daytime scene. That made everything even more difficult."
Weather conditions added another layer of complexity. "It was really windy on set," she said. "The air was moving around constantly, which created its own set of challenges for the crew and actors."
However, the team's spirit remained high. "I would also like to point out that we had great fun while shooting," Amandeep added. "It was a shoot which didn't feel like work. We enjoyed ourselves a lot, which I think shows in the final episode."
