Ranveer Singh's high-octane spy thriller Dhurandhar continues its monumental box office run, setting its sights on yet another Shah Rukh Khan record. On its 25th day in theatres, the film has not only entered the prestigious Rs 700 crore club domestically but is also inching closer to the worldwide collection of SRK's blockbuster Jawan.
Day 25 Collections and Milestones
According to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhurandhar added approximately Rs 10.5 crore to its kitty on its fourth Monday. This strong weekday performance has propelled its total net collection in India to an impressive Rs 701 crore. The film's global earnings have now soared to a staggering Rs 1065 crore.
This achievement comes hot on the heels of the film entering the elite Rs 1000 crore worldwide club. In a remarkable feat, it surpassed the lifetime global collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (Rs 1,069.85 crore) in just 24 days. The next target is the superstar's other mega-hit, Jawan, which sits at Rs 1,163.62 crore.
Steady Theatrical Hold and Regional Performance
Despite being in its fourth week and facing competition from new releases like Kartik Aaryan's Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Avatar: Ash and Fire, Dhurandhar is holding strong. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 21.27% across India on Monday.
The occupancy breakdown for the day was as follows:
- Morning Shows: 11.98%
- Afternoon Shows: 25.17%
- Evening Shows: 26.67%
In key metropolitan markets, the film maintained healthy numbers. In the Delhi NCR region, it registered 21% occupancy across 1,059 shows, while Mumbai saw 20.67% occupancy across 851 shows. The film has minted over Rs 20 crore in its fourth week alone at the Indian box office.
The Path to Becoming an All-Time Great
Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar has been unstoppable since its release on December 5. It is rapidly climbing the charts of the highest-grossing Indian films ever.
On the domestic front, the only Indian films left for Dhurandhar to surpass are:
- Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 800 crore)
- Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1,030.42 crore)
- KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 859.7 crore)
- RRR (Rs 782.2 crore)
The film's success has sparked conversations in the industry, with filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma remarking that Dhurandhar has 'kicked out South Indian movies' and calling it a 'template film'.
Featuring an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun alongside Ranveer Singh, the spy-thriller has captivated audiences nationwide. With its sequel, Dhurandhar 2, already scheduled for a big-screen release on March 19, 2026, the franchise is poised for even greater heights.
