Rajasthan Cycling Association Elects New Leadership Unopposed
In a significant development for sports governance in the state, the Rajasthan Cycling Association held its elections on Sunday in Jaipur. The election process resulted in the unanimous selection of all office bearers, marking a smooth transition of leadership.
Election Process and Supervision
The election was conducted under the careful supervision of election officer Govind Ram Gehlot. Deependra Singh Khangarot, president of the Rajasthan Archery Association, served as an observer on behalf of the Rajasthan Olympic Association, ensuring transparency and adherence to procedural norms throughout the event.
Given that there was only a single nomination for each executive post, election officer Govind Ram Gehlot declared all office bearers elected unopposed. This streamlined process eliminated the need for voting and allowed for immediate confirmation of the new leadership team.

Following his election, Sukhija expressed his commitment to advancing cycling in the state. "I will work closely with the federation to promote and develop cycling across Rajasthan," he stated, outlining his vision for the association's future initiatives.

The unopposed election suggests a consensus among stakeholders regarding the leadership direction, potentially enabling quicker implementation of development programs. As cycling continues to gain popularity both as a competitive sport and recreational activity, the role of the Rajasthan Cycling Association becomes increasingly vital in coordinating efforts and resources across the state.
