Magadh University Reschedules Exams, Fixes Mark Errors & Subject Glitches
Magadh University Postpones Exams, Fixes Errors

Magadh University in Bodh Gaya has announced significant updates concerning its undergraduate examinations, tackling pressing issues related to mark discrepancies and technical glitches in subject selection. The university has also officially postponed two major examinations originally scheduled for late November.

Practical Mark Upload Errors Addressed

In a recent circular, the university highlighted discrepancies in the uploaded marks for Practical and Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) for UG CBCS students from the 2023-27 and 2024-28 batches. Several affiliated colleges reported being unable to upload these 70+30 marks on time due to persistent portal issues. This has led to errors appearing in the officially published results for the first and second semesters.

To resolve this, Magadh University has directed the concerned colleges to physically verify their student records. These verified documents must be presented at the university office on specified dates throughout November 2025. The institution has issued a strict warning, stating that colleges failing to resolve these result disputes within the given timeframe will not be entertained later.

Subject Selection Glitches and Verification Mandate

A separate notice from the university addresses a growing number of complaints regarding incorrect subject choices. For the 2025-29 CBCS session, many students have mistakenly selected wrong subjects or inaccurately filled their course choices on the university portal. These errors have caused mismatches in the allotment of Major Courses (MJC) and Minor Courses (MILC).

The university has clarified that the responsibility for accurate subject selection now firmly rests with college principals and center superintendents. They are mandated to personally verify and validate each student's subject selection before final submission. The administration reminded colleges of the existing guidelines issued via Letter No. CEO/170/2025, dated July 14, 2025.

Applications received without proper verification will be automatically rejected by the portal, the university warned, urging strict adherence to procedures to prevent future complications for students.

Exam Postponement: New Dates Announced

In a third key notification, Magadh University has postponed the UG CBCS third semester examinations for the 2024-28 batch. The Major Course (MJC) 3 paper, which was scheduled for November 25, 2025, has now been rescheduled to December 2, 2025. Similarly, the MJC 4 examination, originally set for November 26, 2025, will now be held on December 4, 2025.

The university cited unavoidable reasons for this change in schedule. It confirmed that the timings and shifts for these rescheduled papers will remain unchanged. All other examinations will be conducted as per the original timetable.

Students and college authorities have been strongly advised to take note of these revised dates. The university has emphasized that strict monitoring will continue to ensure the smooth conduct of all academic processes and examinations across its affiliated institutions.
