The newly inaugurated facility, named Acharya Varahamihira Sabhagar, promises to be a modern centre for seminars, lectures, and cultural events within the department. The auditorium is equipped with cutting-edge amenities designed to enhance the learning experience.
It features an interactive panel, a modern sound system, and advanced lighting. With a seating capacity of approximately 120 people, the space is poised to host a variety of academic gatherings and student functions.

Alongside the auditorium, the department introduced a new annual award to recognise academic merit. The Chandramani Singh gold medal will be conferred each year to the top-performing student of the astrology department.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University, Prof. Manuka Khanna, emphasised the symbolic importance of the new developments. She stated that "Both the auditorium and the gold medal are symbols of motivation for our students."
