Punjab Education Minister Conducts Surprise Inspection at Bhadson School of Eminence
In a move underscoring the state government's commitment to educational excellence, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains paid an unannounced visit to the School of Eminence located in Bhadson, Patiala district, on Tuesday morning. The minister's surprise inspection focused on reviewing ongoing infrastructure development works and assessing the quality of education under the flagship 'Punjab Sikhya Kranti' initiative.

During his comprehensive tour of the school premises, Minister Bains meticulously examined the progress of various infrastructure upgrades. Major Focus on Rs 90-Lakh Indoor Sports Complex
A significant highlight of the visit was the minister's review of the construction of a state-of-the-art indoor sports complex, valued at Rs 90 lakh. This facility is designed to feature two kabaddi mats and a wrestling mat, with an impressive seating capacity of 2,000 persons. Emphasizing the Punjab government's holistic education policy, Bains stated that equal importance is placed on intellectual growth and physical development. "Education is the paramount priority of the Bhagwant Mann government. Our Schools of Eminence are not just buildings; these are incubators for future leaders and professionals," he remarked.
Enrollment Surge and Growing Parental Confidence
Principal Preetinder Ghai provided encouraging updates to the minister, revealing that the school has recorded an 11% increase in enrollment for the current academic year. Notably, over 200 students have shifted from private institutions to this government school, a trend that Bains described as a resounding endorsement of the state's educational policies. "The trend of students migrating from private institutions to government schools is a clear validation of the quality education being delivered," he added.
Expanding Facilities and Future Commitments
Further demonstrating the institution's growth, Principal Ghai highlighted that more than 400 students are utilizing transport facilities through six school buses, indicating the school's expanding reputation as a centre of excellence. Reaffirming the government's dedication, Minister Bains assured that there will be no shortage of funds for education. "Investing in our students is investing directly in the future of Punjab and the nation," he asserted, underscoring the long-term vision behind such initiatives.
