The city of Patna witnessed a brilliant display of young intellect and strategic thinking as the two-day B Ajit Singh Memorial Inter-School Chess Tournament concluded successfully on Sunday. Hosted at Indirapuram Public School for Girls, the event saw enthusiastic participation from over 200 students representing various educational institutions across the city.
Triumphant Winners Across Age Groups
In a thrilling conclusion to the competition, winners emerged across three different age categories. The tournament not only highlighted the growing popularity of chess among Patna's youth but also showcased the remarkable talent present in the city's schools.
The under-10 category saw Riya Rani and Ayan claim the championship title. They were followed by Divyanshi and Ayushman in second position, while Lavanya Shree and Aniket secured the third spot on the podium.
In the competitive under-13 group, Nancy and Prajan emerged as the victors. Swati and Jash Ranjan demonstrated impressive skill to capture second place, with Akifa Fatima and Yuvraj rounding out the top three finishers.
The under-18 category, featuring some of the most experienced young players, was won by Amisha and Abhimanyu. Shristi and Krishang Kunal earned second place honors, while Aditi Bhardwaj and Shubh completed the winner's list by securing third position.

In another significant development for Patna's educational and social scene, Notre Dame Academy successfully revived its cherished carnival after a substantial gap of 13 years. The two-day extravaganza, titled 'Fundazzle 2025', concluded on Sunday, marking a triumphant return of one of the city's most anticipated school events.
Overwhelming Response from Community
The revived carnival proved to be a massive success, attracting more than 4,000 visitors that included current students, proud parents, and nostalgic alumni returning to their alma mater. The campus transformed into a vibrant hub of activity and celebration, buzzing with excitement throughout the two-day event.
A total of 74 stalls offered diverse attractions for visitors. The breakdown included 42 stalls managed by students and staff of the academy, showcasing their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, complemented by 32 stalls operated by external vendors. The stalls featured an enticing mix of food options, engaging games, handmade handicrafts, and various forms of entertainment that kept attendees thoroughly engaged.

Principal Sr Mary Neha expressed profound gratitude to parents, sponsors, and community partners whose support made the carnival's revival possible.
