Gumla Launches 'Board Exam Vijay Abhiyan' with Control Room & Strict Monitoring
Gumla's Strict Measures for JAC Board Exam Success

In a decisive move to boost student performance in the upcoming state board examinations, the Gumla district administration in Jharkhand has launched a comprehensive campaign named 'Board Exam- Vijay Abhiyan'. The initiative involves a series of strict monitoring and support mechanisms aimed at ensuring better results in the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Class 10 and 12 board exams.

Centralised Control Room for Daily Oversight

A key feature of the campaign is the establishment of a district-level control room dedicated to the regular monitoring of all exam-related activities. Officials announced this development on Thursday, stating that the control room will be the nerve centre for the entire operation. Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Dileshwar Mahto and Additional Collector (AC) Shashindra Baraik have been appointed as the nodal officers to spearhead this year's campaign.

The day-to-day operations of the control room are managed by District Education Officer (DEO) Kabita Khalkho and District Superintendent of Education (DSE) Noor Alam Khan. Their primary responsibility is to monitor the field staff, specifically the Block Resource Persons (BRPs) and Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs). This is done through daily tracking of their school visits to verify if assigned academic and preparatory tasks are being executed properly.

Targeted Support and Accountability Measures

Beyond monitoring, the administration is implementing a two-pronged strategy of support and strict accountability. A special focus is being placed on academically weak students through organised remedial classes and practice sessions based on model question papers. To further strengthen ground-level supervision, senior district officers have each been assigned one school to oversee teacher performance and directly motivate students.

The administration has made it clear that non-performance will not be tolerated. Demonstrating this strict stance, Gumla Deputy Commissioner Prerna Dixit took disciplinary action during a review meeting earlier this week. The salary of Additional District Programme Officer (ADPO) Jyoti Khalkho was withheld. Furthermore, Cluster Resource Person (CRP) Rajmuni Kumari of Government High School, Bansdih, and Block Resource Person (BRC) Jari Reena Kumari of Albert Ekka block were suspended.

Zero Tolerance for Laxity: DC's Directives

Emphasising the campaign's seriousness, Deputy Commissioner Prerna Dixit stated that the sole focus is to ensure that students perform well in the board examinations. "No laxity will be tolerated," she asserted. To enforce this, she has directed the district control room to employ technological tools like GPS-enabled photographs and video calls for regular and verifiable monitoring of field activities. This tech-aided approach is intended to bring transparency and efficiency to the oversight process, ensuring that all officials and educators are actively contributing to the academic mission.

The 'Board Exam Vijay Abhiyan' represents a significant administrative push in Gumla, combining structured academic support with an uncompromising stance on accountability, all aimed at securing improved outcomes for students in the crucial JAC board exams.
