  • Paper I: For those who wish to teach classes 1 to 5 (Primary Stage).
  • Paper II: For those who wish to teach classes 6 to 8 (Elementary Stage).

Candidates can choose to appear for either one or both papers based on their career goals. Each paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark. There is no negative marking. The total duration allotted for each paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The CTET February 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 8, 2026. With the correction window now active, lakhs of candidates are expected to log in to the CBSE portal to ensure their application data is flawless, setting the stage for one of the largest teaching eligibility tests in the country.
