The student, identified as Pawan Kumar, died by suicide on January 30 after hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his hostel room. According to authorities, Pawan was subjected to repeated harassment by a fellow student named Hemanth.
This harassment reportedly began earlier, with an incident in December 2025 causing disturbances in the hostel. The situation escalated on January 5 when Hemanth allegedly assaulted Pawan and later posted a video of the assault on Instagram. Police state that Hemanth attacked Pawan again on January 30, the same day the student took his own life.
Evidence Tampering Allegations
