Devi Ahilya University Student Expelled from Hostel Over Alleged Objectionable Activities
In a significant disciplinary action, a first-year student at Devi Ahilya University in Indore has been expelled from the university hostel for allegedly engaging in objectionable activities in front of other female residents. The decision was announced by university officials after a thorough investigation into multiple complaints lodged against the student.

The case came to light following a formal complaint by a first-year female student, who accused the expelled student of using objectionable items in their shared room and participating in morally inappropriate activities during video calls. Vice-chancellor Dr. Rakesh Singhai confirmed these details in a statement to the press on Friday, highlighting the seriousness of the allegations.
According to Dr. Singhai, four other girls residing in the same hostel also filed similar complaints against the student. The complainants further alleged that the student was encouraging others in the hostel to establish friendships with men through a mobile application, raising concerns about potential misconduct and safety issues.

In response to the complaints, Devi Ahilya University promptly constituted a committee to investigate the matter. During the probe, the hostel warden conducted a search of the student's room and allegedly recovered objectionable items, as reported by the vice-chancellor.
"After the investigation, we found that this student's stay in the hostel could cause serious problems for other girls. Therefore, it was decided to immediately expel her from the hostel," Dr. Singhai stated, emphasizing the university's commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all students.
