Tripura Govt Ramakrishna Mission MoA for Language School

The Tripura government has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the Ramakrishna Mission to establish the Ramakrishna Mission School of Languages & Centre for Human Excellence. This initiative aims to promote skill development, value-driven education, and youth empowerment in the state.

Partnership with TIFT and NITI Aayog

The project is being undertaken by the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT), the state government's policy think tank aligned with NITI Aayog. It is positioned as the first School of Languages in Northeast India, alongside a Centre for Human Excellence focused on enhancing knowledge, abilities, and moral values among young people.

Chief Minister's Remarks

Chief Minister Manik Saha described the agreement as a crucial step in the state's education and youth empowerment agenda. He stated that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing human potential for a changing global environment. Saha acknowledged the Ramakrishna Mission's contributions to education, value-oriented learning, and human resource development, noting its positive societal impact in Tripura.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the new institution would strengthen language proficiency, professional skills, and ethical grounding among youth, thereby improving employability and global competitiveness. This will mark a pioneering and visionary advancement in education and human resource development in Tripura."

Proposed Offerings

The School of Languages is expected to offer training in multiple national and international languages, helping students and job seekers access education and employment opportunities in India and abroad. The Centre for Human Excellence will focus on personality development, leadership, life skills, value education, and holistic human development.
