Officials detailed that the incident came to light around 5:45 PM, approximately 45 minutes before the scheduled conclusion of the paper at 6:30 PM.
A supervisor grew suspicious of the student's behavior and conducted a thorough check, which revealed the mobile phone in her possession. According to board regulations, bringing a mobile phone into the exam hall is considered a serious violation. Consequently, a copying case was filed against the student, and authorities initiated steps to lodge a formal police complaint, underscoring the severity of the breach.

In a separate case in Ognaj, under the jurisdiction of the Ahmedabad rural district education office, another student was caught wearing a digital watch during the Class 12 general stream business administration exam at Tatvamasi School. Officials reported that the student had attempted to conceal the device, but it was detected by vigilant supervisors.
