The second quarter earnings season for fiscal year 2025-26 reaches its climax this week with approximately 2,500 companies scheduled to announce their financial performance. This crucial period will see several marquee names from various sectors revealing their September quarter results, providing significant insights into India's corporate health.
Among the prominent companies set to declare their earnings are Vodafone Idea, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), SJVN, Rail Vikas Nigam, Bharat Forge, Hindustan Aeronautics, IRCTC, Hero Motocorp, and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles. The results declaration is spread across the week from November 10 to November 14, 2025.
Vodafone Idea Q2 Performance Preview
According to projections from brokerage firm JM Financial, Vodafone Idea is expected to report a net loss of ₹6,823.5 crore for the quarter ended September 2025. While this represents a challenging financial position, it shows improvement compared to the same period last year when the company reported a loss of ₹7,175.9 crore.
The telecom operator's revenue picture appears more positive, with Q2FY26 revenue projected to increase by 1.7% year-on-year to ₹11,115 crore from ₹10,932.2 crore. Sequentially, revenue is expected to rise 0.8% from ₹11,022.5 crore in the preceding quarter, indicating gradual recovery.
ONGC Quarterly Results Expectations
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) faces mixed projections for the September quarter. JM Financial anticipates the company's EBITDA to decline by 2% quarter-to-quarter primarily due to higher operational expenses in Q2 FY26.
However, the energy giant may witness positive developments including higher crude and gas realization and improved crude stakes volume compared to the previous quarter. Despite the expected quarterly EBITDA dip, the brokerage has maintained its 'buy' rating on ONGC stock with a revised target price of ₹285.
