Rajasthan Govt Hikes DA by 2% for Employees, Pensioners
Rajasthan DA Hike: 2% Increase Approved for Employees

The Rajasthan state government on Thursday approved a 2% increase in dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) for its employees and pensioners. This decision will benefit approximately 7.02 lakh employees and 5.44 lakh pensioners across the state.

Details of the DA/DR Increase

Under the 7th Pay Scale, employees and pensioners will now receive DA or DR at the rate of 60%, up from the previous 58%. The increase will take effect from January 1, 2026. Employees of panchayat samitis and zila parishads will also benefit from this hike.

Financial Implications

The state government will bear an annual financial burden of approximately Rs 1,156 crore due to this increase. The enhanced DA will be paid in cash from the salary of May 2026, which will be disbursed in June 2026. The arrears for the period from January 1 to April 30, 2026, covering four months, will be credited to the general provident fund accounts of the employees.

Pensioners' Benefits

Pensioners will receive the increased dearness relief in cash from January 1, 2026 onwards. This move is expected to provide significant relief to pensioners amid rising living costs.

The decision underscores the state government's commitment to the welfare of its employees and pensioners, ensuring that their allowances keep pace with inflation. This hike is part of regular revisions to DA and DR based on the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.

Beneficiaries are advised to check their salary slips and pension statements for the revised amounts. The government has assured timely implementation of the new rates.
