Lucknow Development Authority Implements Digital Allotment System
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has issued a directive requiring allottees to download their allotment letters from its official website and complete necessary formalities within a strict three-month timeframe. Failure to comply will result in automatic cancellation of the allotment without prior notice, as announced by LDA Vice-Chairperson Prathamesh Kumar.
Enhancing Transparency and Efficiency
This decision is part of a broader initiative to streamline the allotment process, making it more transparent and reducing procedural delays that have historically plagued the system. Previously, allotment letters for residential and commercial properties allocated through lottery, e-auction, and first-come-first-served schemes were dispatched via registered post.
Officials highlighted that delays in postal delivery often compelled allottees to visit LDA offices in person for updates, causing inconvenience and inefficiencies. Additionally, there were reported instances of fake allotment letters being circulated to mislead applicants, undermining the integrity of the process.
New Digital Protocol and Consequences
Under the newly implemented system, allotment letters will be uploaded directly to the LDA website, and allottees will receive SMS alerts on their registered mobile numbers to notify them of availability. Allottees are required to download the documents online and proceed with further formalities promptly.
Officials emphasized that if the allotment letter is not downloaded within the stipulated three-month period, the allotment will be cancelled automatically, with no separate notice issued. In such cases, the registration amount will be refunded after applicable deductions, ensuring a fair but firm approach to compliance.
