Haryana TCP Department Takes Action Against Illegal Constructions in Hansi
The Haryana Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has conducted a significant demolition drive in Hansi, targeting unauthorised constructions that violate urban planning laws. This operation underscores the state's commitment to enforcing legal standards in property development.
Demolition Details and High Court Directive
Led by District Town Planner Dinesh Singh, TCP officials, accompanied by police personnel, demolished illegal structures on approximately 5 acres of land near Old Delhi Road. The team utilised JCB machines to remove under-construction buildings and road infrastructure that were part of an unlicensed colony.
This action follows directives from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which had ordered the TCP to take stringent measures against such unauthorised colonies in the Hisar region last year. The demolition highlights the department's proactive stance in addressing illegal land development activities.
Warnings and Legal Procedures
DTP Dinesh Singh emphasised that the colony was being developed without obtaining the necessary licence under Section 3 of the Urban Areas Act, 1975. The department had issued prior notices to the promoters, but due to non-compliance, demolition became inevitable.
Similar enforcement actions were carried out at other sites on Hisar Road and Delhi Road, indicating a broader crackdown on illegal constructions across the area. Singh warned that such operations will continue to curb unauthorised development.

The TCP Department has issued a stern warning to the public regarding an illegal colony being developed on land adjoining KC Farm on Hansi-Delhi Road. Officials advise residents to verify the authorised status of colonies before purchasing plots to avoid future legal and financial inconveniences.
