Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Bihar's Education Minister Nishant Kumar, questioning his academic qualifications. Speaking to reporters, Tejashwi sarcastically remarked, "Bihar's education minister will make him an engineer," implying that Kumar lacks the credentials for the post.
Allegations Against CM and PM
Tejashwi further alleged that Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary possesses no degree at all. He also pointed to confusion surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's educational qualifications, stating, "There is no clarity on the prime minister's degree."
Political Context
The remarks come amid heightened political tensions in Bihar, with the RJD frequently targeting the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) over governance issues. Tejashwi, the former deputy chief minister, has been vocal about the need for transparency in public office.
Nishant Kumar, who holds the education portfolio, has not yet responded to the allegations. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has dismissed Tejashwi's comments as a diversion from real issues.
Reactions
Political analysts suggest that the attack is aimed at undermining the credibility of the state government ahead of upcoming elections. The RJD has promised to release detailed information on the educational backgrounds of all NDA ministers in Bihar.
