Suzuki e-ACCESS Launched at Rs 1.88 Lakh: 95 km Range, 7-Year Warranty
Suzuki e-ACCESS Electric Scooter Launched in India

In a significant move for the Indian electric vehicle (EV) landscape, Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially launched its first electric two-wheeler, the Suzuki e-ACCESS. Priced at Rs 1.88 lakh (ex-showroom), the scooter marks the automotive giant's long-awaited entry into the country's booming electric mobility sector. The company has opened bookings across its authorized dealerships, with sales commencing shortly.

Design, Colours, and Key Specifications

The e-ACCESS, which had its global debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo last year, is based on a familiar platform designed for practical urban commuting. Its design features a distinctive centrally mounted vertical LED DRL on the front apron, complemented by a rectangular LED headlamp. The side profile showcases clean bodywork, turbine-style alloy wheels, and prominent Suzuki branding.

Suzuki is offering the scooter in four attractive dual-tone colour schemes:

  • Metallic Mat Black No.2 with Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red
  • Pearl Grace White with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray
  • Pearl Jade Green with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray
  • Metallic Mat Stellar Blue with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray (newly introduced)

At the heart of the e-ACCESS is a 3 kWh fixed Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack. Suzuki claims this battery technology offers up to four times longer life compared to conventional NMC batteries. Paired with a 4.1 kW electric motor generating 15 Nm of torque, the scooter delivers a claimed range of 95 km on a single charge. The company also states that performance remains consistent even when the battery is as low as 10% State of Charge.

Charging, Features, and Ride Modes

The e-ACCESS supports both standard and DC fast charging. A full charge using the standard portable charger takes approximately 6 hours and 42 minutes, while a DC fast charger can reduce this time to around 2 hours and 12 minutes. Owners can charge the scooter at home or at compatible public charging points.

The scooter is equipped with a modern 4.2-inch full-colour TFT display that provides essential riding data like speed, battery status, and energy consumption. Through the Suzuki Ride Connect app, riders get smartphone connectivity for features like turn-by-turn navigation. The e-ACCESS offers three selectable ride modes: Eco, Ride A, and Ride B. Additional practical features include a reverse mode, regenerative braking, and a maintenance-free belt drive with a claimed lifespan of up to 7 years or 70,000 km.

Ownership Benefits and Introductory Offers

Suzuki is backing its first EV with strong ownership assurances. As an introductory offer, the company is providing an extended warranty of up to 7 years or 80,000 km at no extra cost. Furthermore, a buy-back assurance of up to 60% of the value after three years is also part of the launch package.

To incentivize customers, Suzuki is offering a loyalty bonus of up to Rs 10,000 for existing Suzuki customers and a welcome bonus of up to Rs 7,000 for new customers. These offers, combined with the competitive pricing and strong warranty, position the e-ACCESS as a compelling new option for Indian consumers looking to switch to electric two-wheelers.

The launch of the Suzuki e-ACCESS is a pivotal moment, signaling intensified competition in India's electric scooter market and providing consumers with a trusted brand's take on sustainable urban transportation.
