Surat's Textile Expo Draws Enthusiastic Crowd and Big Investment Hopes
The Surat International Textile and Machinery Expo 2026 wrapped up with impressive numbers. Over 39,000 buyers visited the four-day event. They explored around 200 textile machines from 100 different brands.
Strong Response from Buyers and Exhibitors
Organizers reported an overwhelming turnout. The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Surat Embroidery Association jointly hosted the expo. Nikhil Madrasi, president of SGCCI, shared exciting news.
He stated the exhibition could generate investments worth ₹850 crore in the coming months. This projection comes from strong buyer interest and exhibitor confidence.
Showcasing Advanced Machinery
The exhibition displayed a wide range of textile equipment. Machines included embroidery units and other essential tools. Price tags varied significantly, from ₹5 lakh to ₹60 lakh per machine.
Most of these advanced machines came from China. Exhibitors brought cutting-edge technology to Surat's textile hub.
Event Details and Future Expectations
SITME 2026 took place at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sarsana. It ran from January 9 to 12, 2026, with daily hours from 10 am to 7 pm.
Exhibitors expressed optimism about future orders. Around 60 participants expect to receive orders for 28 to 30 machines within one to two months. Buyers gave strong assurances during the event.
The expo highlighted Surat's growing prominence in the textile industry. It served as a key platform for business deals and technology exchange. Local organizers celebrated the successful turnout and positive economic impact.
