In a significant boost to its order book, infrastructure major Ceigall India announced on Monday that it has secured a major contract valued at over ₹1,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh. The project involves the construction of a crucial four-lane highway connecting two of the state's key cities.
A Major Infrastructure Win for Ceigall
The company revealed that its subsidiary, Ceigall Infra Projects Private Ltd, received the official Letter of Award (LoA) from the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation Ltd (MPRDC). The awarded project is for the construction of the Indore–Ujjain Greenfield (Access Control) highway. This four-lane, access-controlled expressway is set to be a game-changer for regional connectivity.
Project Execution and Strategic Importance
The ambitious project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), a popular public-private partnership framework for infrastructure development in India. The company has set a construction timeline of 24 months for completion.
Commenting on the win, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India, emphasized the project's strategic value. He stated that the Indore-Ujjain Greenfield Highway is a critically important infrastructure initiative for Madhya Pradesh. Sehgal assured that the company is committed to delivering the project with a strong focus on safety, durability, and timely execution.

This new highway is poised to play a pivotal role in enhancing transportation links between the commercial powerhouse of Indore and the historic, religious city of Ujjain. By improving regional connectivity, it will facilitate smoother and faster access to these key economic and religious hubs, potentially boosting trade, tourism, and overall economic activity in the region.
