Mukesh Ambani Pledges ₹7 Lakh Crore Gujarat Investment, Hails PM Modi's Leadership
Ambani to double Gujarat investment, calls PM Modi 'invincible wall'

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, delivered a powerful address at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot on Sunday, positioning India's current era as its "defining decade" under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He credited the Prime Minister for creating an "invincible protective wall" that shelters the nation from global geopolitical turbulence.

India's Shield Against Global Uncertainty

Speaking at the conference, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi himself, Ambani contrasted the global landscape with India's trajectory. "The world is changing very fast, the geopolitical situation is creating new challenges and unexpected turbulence," he observed. However, he expressed strong reassurance for India, stating that these external challenges cannot harm the Indian people because "India has the invincible protective wall called Narendra Modi." He emphasized that the country is not merely preparing for the future but actively shaping it.

Massive Investment and AI Leadership Pledge

Ambani made a series of major financial and strategic commitments focused on Gujarat's development. He revealed that Reliance Industries, already the state's largest investor, has poured over ₹3.5 lakh crore into Gujarat in the past five years. In a significant announcement, he pledged to double this investment to ₹7 lakh crore over the next five years, a move expected to generate exponential employment and wealth for Gujaratis and all Indians.

A cornerstone of this investment is positioning Gujarat as India's leader in Artificial Intelligence. "Reliance is committed to making Gujarat the AI pioneer of India," Ambani declared. He detailed plans to build India's largest AI-ready data centre in Jamnagar, with the goal of delivering affordable AI to every citizen. Furthermore, Jio will launch an intelligent platform to enable people, starting from Gujarat, to access AI services daily in their own language and on their own devices, boosting efficiency and productivity.

Green Energy Hub and Olympic Vision

The industrialist outlined an ambitious vision for transforming Gujarat into a global clean energy leader. He stated that Reliance is building the world's largest integrated clean energy ecosystem in Jamnagar, encompassing solar power, battery storage, green hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel, and advanced materials. "Jamnagar, once the largest hydrocarbon energy exporter, will in the coming years become India's largest exporter of green energy and materials," he predicted. He also expressed the industry's commitment to turning Kutch into a global clean energy hub through multi-gigawatt solar projects.

In a move linking corporate support with national ambition, Ambani announced that the Reliance Foundation is prepared to back Prime Minister Modi's vision of hosting the 2036 Olympic Games in Ahmedabad. As a concrete first step, Reliance will partner with the Gujarat government to manage the Veer Savarkar Multi-Sports Complex in Naranpura, envisioning it as a hub for national and international events and training future champions.

Ambani concluded by reinforcing the industry's alignment with the national direction, stating, "From Saurashtra and Kutch we in industry are happy to participate in this growth and direction that PM Modi has shown all of us."
