Bangladesh's Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal assured the protesters that the government would investigate the matter. "We respect all religions and will not allow anyone to incite hatred. The law will take its course," he said in a statement. Police have detained a suspect in connection with the incident, and further investigations are underway.
