The United States has publicly released video footage showcasing its military strikes on Iranian naval vessels, as hostilities across the Middle East continue to intensify and expand. US Central Command chief Brad Cooper provided detailed updates on the operation, now in its fourth week. He emphasized that the strikes have overwhelmed Iran's air defence systems and are yielding visible, tangible results. "We hit the 10,000th Iranian target just hours ago. And if you combine what we've accomplished with the success of our Israeli ally, together we have struck thousands more, clearly demonstrating that we're stronger together," Cooper stated. He further explained that precision strikes have crippled Iranian air defences, and combat flights over Iran are having significant operational impacts.
Iranian Naval Capabilities Severely Weakened, Says US Official
Cooper also highlighted a dramatic reduction in Iran's naval power, claiming that the majority of its major warships have been destroyed. "For decades, Iranian warships have roamed regional waters, threatening and harassing global shipping. But those days are over because we've now destroyed 92 percent of the Iranian Navy's largest vessels," he said. According to his operational assessment, Iran has lost the ability to meaningfully project naval power and influence both regionally and globally, with these vessels no longer operational.
Casualties Reported in Iranian Strike on Saudi Base
In a separate development, a US official informed Reuters that an Iranian missile and drone strike targeted the Prince Sultan airbase in Saudi Arabia. This attack resulted in injuries to 12 American personnel, including two in serious condition, and caused damage to military equipment.
