Ramgarh: A tragic incident occurred on Sunday when two schoolboys, aged 12 and 13, drowned while bathing in the Damodar river in Ramgarh town. Their third friend was rescued, police said.

Rescue and Recovery

People present near the river managed to rescue one of the boys, but the other two were swept into deeper waters and remained untraced for some time. Later, their bodies were found on the other side of the river and fished out. The other side of the river falls under the outpost of Kuju police station of the district, said Kuju OC Ashutosh Kumar Singh.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of swimming in unsupervised waters, especially for children. Authorities have urged parents to monitor their children's activities and educate them about water safety.
