Two Nepal Nationals Die in Pickup Van Accident

DHARMAPURI: Two Nepal nationals lost their lives after a pickup van collided with the two-wheeler they were riding near Indur in Dharmapuri district on Tuesday night. The deceased have been identified as M Harish, 45, a Gurkha security worker who resided with his family in Indur, and his relative, V Dhanraj, 42, who had recently arrived from Bengaluru to visit him.

Accident Details

The incident occurred when the duo was returning to Indur from Dharmapuri. According to a police officer, Harish died instantly at the scene, while Dhanraj sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to Dharmapuri Government Medical College and Hospital but succumbed before reaching the hospital.

Police Investigation

Police have registered a case and launched a search for the pickup van driver, who fled the scene immediately after the accident. Authorities are examining CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to trace the absconding driver.
